Website Designer Job, Lancaster

LA Serve (see www.laserve.co.uk) is looking for website designers with a principle skill in CSS design.

We have been established for 15 years as a marketing agency and have been providing websites for 10 years now. As such, we have plenty of customers and a large hosting base using a variety of servers - dedicated UNIX, dedicated Windows, and shared services.

Our unique selling points are that we think about how websites are used from a marketing and sales angle (and have the copywriters and optimisers to help achieve this), that we are well-established and here to stay, we try to deal with customers face-to-face wherever possible and we look after them (which isn't always the case with web companies!).

We are looking for someone who is creative, thorough but quick, and keen to discuss design with our clients. Communication is key to getting the job done right.

LA Serve also wishes to promote the use of more video on it's websites - so video editing skills and/or use of Flash 8/9 are also useful.

Unless you already know ASP or PHP, our code expert will put your design into one of our ecommerce or content management systems. You may well be involved in training the client to then edit their own website and looking after them.

There are two salary positions depending on knowledge and experience:

• Web designer: £14k
• Senior web designer: £18k
